I'm not surprised about the lack of EVs holding back the charger network. Quick charging stations just off the motorways grew hugely last year, but chargers don't seem to be appearing in the deserts. In the areas without chargers, most resident EV owners can charge at home, and many visitors can make it in and out again without charging. Chargers are needed but they may not be economically viable yet.

Exactly, I hate to use the tired old 'chicken and egg' phrase but it is literally the challenge, particularly in some of the more rural deserts.
